    Brighton Brain Buster

This week’s Brighton Brain buster idea comes from one of our Pupil Council members Sam Hall Mendoza. He is passionate about the environment and protecting the planet and those that live upon it. He wants to make everyone aware that at this time of year we need to protect our birds. We can help them by making these lovely bird feeders. Please look at the following link and have a go at looking after our wild life. This is particularly important as "Compassion" is one of our core values.

    Lost Property

A number of items including school hats, jumpers, lunch boxes and water bottles are still unclaimed. Please speak with Eman Abdel-Maksoud at the Main Reception desk in the Junior School for further information. Any unnamed items not collected by Monday 14th May will be put on display in the Junior School corridor from Sunday 27th - Thursday 31st May. Please feel free to take any items that you may be interested in using. You may make a non-obligatory financial donation to the Red Crescent should you wish to do so.

    Lakum Initiative

As part of the UAE ‘Giving Initiatives’, the HIPA launched a humanitarian initiative designed to encourage social values and goodwill to all and thus, the Lakum project was created. This charity project involves providing useful, educational and fun gifts to underprivileged children throughout the world, donated by school pupils within the United Arab Emirates. Once the custom-made Lakum boxes are filled, they are shipped and delivered directly by the Emirates Red Crescent to the children in need in countries such as Greece, Malaysia and Jordan. We welcome your support for this initiative and if you would like to be involved, more information can be found here
