Brighton Family of Schools

The Brighton Family of Schools is synonymous with innovation and academic excellence.

In 1859, Brighton College UK built the world’s first school gymnasium before adding the first ever school science laboratory within two decades. By August 2013, pupils at Brighton College UK had achieved the highest examination results of any co-educational school in British history. A host of accolades swiftly followed, including The Sunday Times' Independent School of the Year 2011-12, Tatler's Headmaster of the Year 2012-13 and was named UK School of the Year 2013-14 at the Independent Schools Awards.

Brighton College Abu Dhabi opened its doors in 2011 and was inaugurated by His Royal Highness The Duke of York and His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Zayad Al Nahayan. Within two years, 100% of pupils at Brighton College Abu Dhabi had attained A* grades in its first set of GCSE examination results and in every module undertaken.

Brighton College Al Ain, the second of Brighton’s overseas schools, opened in 2013. First rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge in 2016, Brighton College Al Ain are proud to have secured another ‘Outstanding’ rating in 2018.
