    ADEC Inspection

The College are thrilled to announce that we have received our ADEC Inspection Report and to confirm that we have been judged to be Outstanding in every category, sharing the highest ranking in the United Arab Emirates. Only three other schools in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi have matched these inspection judgements and none have ever done so in Al Ain. For the first time, the Garden City can now claim to have a school which is as excellent as the very best schools in the country.

What makes this accomplishment truly remarkable is that College has been judged to be outstanding in every category less than three years since its opening in August 2013. No school in the United Arab Emirates has ever been awarded universally outstanding judgements so early in its lifespan.

Inspectors praised the ‘exceptionally high quality of the personalised challenge and support’ that is provided to Brighton pupils, noting that ‘teaching is highly effective and significantly impacts on students’ rates of progress and attainment levels’. The ‘extremely high quality of professional leadership’ is also heralded in the report, with the exceptional academic outcomes resulting from ‘comprehensive, systematic and rigorous self-evaluation processes, and extensive data analysis’.

We are very proud of our pastoral systems and these have been acknowledged by the ADEC inspectors for resulting in ‘many nationalities that mix harmoniously and demonstrate excellent understanding and appreciation of their own and other world cultures’, a House system that ‘provides a family feel’ and ‘staff-student relationships (that) are outstanding’.

Pupils at the College are praised by inspectors for being ‘extremely courteous and respectful’ in their interactions with all adult staff, for their ‘maturity and a very responsible attitude to learning as they share ideas’, and for their ability to ‘collaborate and communicate extremely well’ with one another.

Our teachers, support staff, Head Master and two Heads of School have worked tirelessly to deliver the highest standards and we are obviously delighted that this report acknowledges their very considerable efforts.

The progress made by all of our pupils continues to be astounding and is due in a large part to their energy, ambition and talent. They should be very proud of everything they have achieved. We would like to thank all of the parents who so willingly support the College and provide us with the opportunity to teach and nurture their children at Brighton.
